Iris photography is a specialised form of macro photography that captures the intricate colours, patterns and textures of the human eye. Using specialised lighting and lenses, the iris is photographed in extreme detail and then enhanced to produce a striking high-resolution image.
Because every iris is unique, each photograph becomes a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork.
My iris photography studio is located at Spinners Mill in Leigh, Greater Manchester (WN7 2LB), making it easily accessible from Manchester, Wigan, Bolton, Salford, Warrington and the wider North West.
Many clients travel to my studio specifically for this unique photography experience.
The photography itself only takes a few seconds, but a typical session lasts around 10–15 minutes per person. This allows time to carefully position the eye, capture the image and ensure the photograph is sharp enough to reveal the incredible detail within the iris.
If multiple people are being photographed, sessions usually take around 10 minutes per person.
