Newborn Photography – Choose your style

The internet is amassed with professional baby photographers in every town, each with their own particular style. Though newborn photography is a straightforward process, the multitude of different styles can make it difficult to choose between photographers. For that reason, it is helpful to have a good look through the portfolios presented to you.

Newborn Photography Styles can basically be split into 4.

Firstly, there are photographs used on a special baby bed.

Secondly, there are those great pictures using props such as baskets and tiny beds.

Third, there are amazing digital images produced with a little camera trickery but produce some outstanding results.

And fourth, but by no means the least…

It’s not just newborn babies that can be photographed and it is worth remembering that parents, siblings and pets should not be overlooked.

It’s quite usual for a mother to pass up an opportunity for a photo shoot but it’s such a shame to miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance.

Trust your photographer. I can adjust the lighting and use certain flattering angles to put your mind at rest. I can even supply a make-up artist (at a small extra fee) There are also certain poses where the parents can hold their baby but only a small part of their body such as hands or shoulders are visible. At least you know, it’s you.
